1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
Previous research projects that I have done include Greek Mythology, Louisiana Festivals Project, current Science events and Labyrinth research.

2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
Research means looking up information about a topic and finding answers to questions you have.

3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
When I did the Greek Mythology project it was fun and easy. It was also interesting and entertaining. It was a positive experience because I learned a lot about Greek Mythology and received an A.

the webbing process helped me start thinking about a topic but I knew I wanted to research a poet.

2. Why you chose it: I chose Shel Silverstein because I like his poetry and his books. We studied poetry in English this year.

5 - Reflections on Pre-Notetaking - for homework (due Wednesday, April 9)
1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?

I found it to be quite easy to come up with a fat question related to my other questions. Basicly I came up with the questions in class,got them approved,and came up with a fat question that included all my others.

I learned that I could find the answers to my questions in little time!

I really haven't had any problems that I couldn't fix.

3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
If I run in to any problems I will see if I can figure them out myself first,and if not I will ask Mrs.DaQuanno for assistance.

I plan to find the answers to all my questions,and make notecards with the question and answer.

I learned that I could not find much information on my topic using required databases.

I am having trouble finding information that answers my questions.

I will try using different keywords such as my questions,and hopefully that will work.

I plan to continue reasearch,and make more notecards.

1. What have I learned today?
I found my print scource,and realized how I could find more answers to my questions.

2. What problems have I had?
The problem I have had is finding information on Shel Silverstein using required databases.

3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
I don't really know how to fix it,so for now I am just going to answer my questions and put them on notecards.

4. What will I do next?
I am going to Barns N' noble to buy my print scource.
